Grace Graham Gold Award

Congratulations to Girl Scout Gold Award recipient Grace Graham on earning Girl Scouting’s highest honor! The Girl Scout Gold Award honors girls who turn ideas into action and create sustainable change.

Grace’s project, “Financial Aid Brochure,” focused on helping students and families better understand available financial aid opportunities and resources. Through research and informational materials, Grace worked to make higher education information more accessible and easier to navigate.

These are Grace’s words as she described her project: “For my Gold Award project I created a Financial Aid Brochure for receiving equine therapy. I partnered with Centaur Stride, a local therapeutic horseback riding barn located in Sherman, New York. The main purpose of my project was to find different options for receiving financial aid for equestrian therapy and putting them into an easily accessible location. By putting these financial aid options into one brochure, it made it easier to find and sort through which programs could be applied to a certain individual. My project impacted my community by providing affordable equine therapy to the individuals in my community who needed it.”
