Dear GSWNY Members, As you may know, on 7/7/20 we released our GSWNY COVID-19 Guidelines for In-person Girl Scout Activities and Meetings. To accompany those guidelines, we also hosted webinars for service unit managers and troop leaders on 7/9/2020. Based on questions from those webinars, we have updated our guidelines to reflect CDC guidelines for fever threshold; this is the only update to the original guidelines released on 7/7/20. We have also created a set of FAQs that arose during the webinars. We continue to evaluate and reassess and will inform you if anything changes. As the risk of COVID-19 is still present in our community, we continue to promote and encourage virtual and at-home programming as the safest option, and there is no expectation that any volunteers or members will participate in person at this time. For those who wish to meet in person we have safety guidelines in place to reduce the risk. There are many ways to participate in Girl Scouting, so please choose the way that works best for you. It is required for all Girl Scout volunteers to review the guidelines and have attended one of the COVID-19 webinars or view the appropriate recording before beginning to plan in-person Girl Scout meetings or activities.
