Dear GSWNY Members,

Please note that GSWNY will still follow all of our current COVID-19 guidelines found here.  Although the CDC and NYS are relaxing mask requirements for vaccinated individuals, children under the age of 12 are not yet able to be vaccinated, and for the safety of all of our members we will still follow our current guidelines in Girl Scout activities including masks and social distancing for the time being. Thank you.

GSWNY began our summer hours yesterday, May 24, 2021 please be aware of our schedule for virtual customer care support and availability for our retail shops; details below:

Virtual Customer Care Hours:

  • Monday 8:30-12:00 (closed 12-1) 1:00-4:30
  • Tuesday 8:30-12:00 (closed 12-2) 2:00-4:30
  • Wednesday 8:30-12:00 (closed 12-1) 1:00-4:30
  • Thursday 8:30-12:00 (closed 12-2) 2:00-4:30
  • Friday 8:30-12:00 (closed 12-4:30)

New gsEvents Platform (formerly through Ebiz)

Please Note: To provide an improved customer service experience to register for events, we have switched from Ebiz to the gsEvents platform to showcase GSWNY events on our website. Please contact Customer Care with any questions: 1-888-837-6410. gsEvents is a holistic, comprehensive and mission-focused platform that will support the experience of girls in Girl Scouting and make registering for events a smoother process.

As part of the transition process, throughout the months of May and June the events will be redirected to Ebiz and we want GSWNY members to be aware that this will happen and know that it is ok to click through the link once you receive the pop up below. Thank you.


GSWNY Camp COVID-19 Information Nights

Our summer camp COVID-19 information nights will focus on safety guidelines for our day and overnight camp programs.

Our Summer Day Camp COVID-19 Information night will be Wednesday, June 2, from 7-8 p.m. and our Summer Overnight Camp COVID-19 Information night will be Tuesday, June 8, from 7-8 p.m.

All are welcome to attend. Our camp directors will be present to answer your questions on programing, cleaning, meals, sleeping accommodations, and more.

Both training nights will be held via Zoom. The Zoom invite will be emailed to you the day before the event.

Last chance for SAGE Tuition Rewards Points – Renew today!

Spring Renewal ends 5/31/21 @ 11:59 pm – and it’s the only time to earn Sage Tuition Rewards Points.  This is a hard deadline and our offices are closed on 5/31, so we encourage you to renew this week in case you need assistance!  Head to our Renewal Page to review instructions – and contact us at customercare@gswny.org or 888-837-6410 during business hours if you need help renewing.

Lifetime Members who are co-leaders or SUMs – don’t forget to renew your positions in order to qualify for your Points!

What are SAGE Tuition Rewards Points?

This is an exclusive benefit for girls, co-leaders, and SUMs who participate in our annual Girl Scout Membership Spring Renewal Campaign and renew by 5/31. After their first year of Girl Scouts, girls, co-leaders, and SUMs can earn Tuition Reward Points when they renew their Girl Scout membership. Each 1 Point equals $1 in college tuition scholarship. Girls earn 2,500 Points and co-leaders/SUMs earn 3,500 Points. Points will be applied to SAGE Scholars accounts in July. Want more information? Visit our SAGE Scholars Page.


Brand Refresh coming July 1, 2021

We’re excited to announce that a Girl Scouts brand refresh is coming this summer! You may have noticed glimpses of it in our materials for the Becoming Me and Spring Renewal campaign.

Closer to rollout, more information will be provided, including resources for volunteers and training for service unit team members. Stay tuned!

GSWNY Celebrates AAPI Heritage Month

This month, the GSWNY Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Committee is celebrating Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month! While we aren’t able to highlight every one of these amazing and diverse cultures, each week will feature an overall theme with related information.

So far, we’ve covered AAPI history and pop culture. For our penultimate week, we’re talking about the delightfully diverse world of AAPI cuisine.

Ziyanece A., our top Girl Scout cookie seller from this recent cookie season, was invited to celebrate her success at our Rochester Service Center by our CEO, Alison Wilcox; two of her Service Unit Managers, Jennifer Shaw and Beth Cunico; and GSWNY staff members Mary Jo Brown (Executive Vice President of Product Program & Customer Service) and Megan Hall (Product Program Manager). Ziyanece’s family joined her for the celebratory event.
