Member Essentials

Member Essentials – 6/8/21

Dear GSWNY Members,

Thank you so much for everything you have done this year to keep Girl Scouting strong and to ensure the safety of our girls and members.

As you may know, New York State and the CDC have recently released changes to COVID-19 guidelines for schools and summer camps. These changes include mask guidelines for indoor versus outdoor settings and for vaccinated versus unvaccinated individuals as well as some other changes.

We are thoroughly reviewing all changes and will be adapting our camp and program/activity guidelines accordingly.

Please be on the lookout for the updated COVID-19 guidelines which will be released next Tuesday, June 15, in Member Essentials and will also be shared on our website and on social media. In the meantime please continue to follow the current guidelines until then.

GSWNY remains committed to doing whatever we can to best ensure the safety of our members as we continue to navigate the COVID-19 pandemic together. We thank you for your patience, cooperation and support throughout out this unprecedented time. Please contact Customer Care with any questions or concerns you may have.

Please note, however, that in accordance with new guidance, we have updated our media guidelines removing the requirements around social distancing for masked individuals in photographs. Effectively immediately, photos of masked individuals standing less than six feet apart are permitted. This change will also be included in the updates released next week.

Please see the important announcements below and for questions, please contact Customer Care customercare@gswny.org or call 1-888-837-6410. In an emergency, please call 1-800-882-9268.

Thank you for all you do!
