In-Person Shopping Reminder
The safety of our staff and customers is a core value of Girl Scouts of Western New York and, as such, the health and well-being of staff, members, and visitors is paramount. We want every customer to have an exceptional safe shopping experience. As a reminder, please take a moment to review our expectations for in-person shopping at our retail locations:
- We ask you to stay home and visit another day if you have been in close, sustained contact with anyone showing any COVID symptoms, or anyone who has been diagnosed with covid and if you have any covid symptoms.
- Must wear a face covering at all times.
- Upon entry into the shop please sanitize your hands.
- Social Distance – stay 6 feet apart from other customers.
- For customers with a large order we encourage you to email it 2 days ahead of planned visit – allowing the retail staff to have it ready for you.
Please visit www.gswny.org/shop for the must-up-to-date hours and contact information for each shop location.

Volunteers
Upcoming First Aid/CPR Trainings
An adult certified in First Aid/CPR is required if a troop leaves their meeting place and/or if an activity’s Safety Activity Checkpoint indicates a First Aider is required.
With our partner agency, EPIC Trainings, Inc., we offer full day and blended learning First Aid/CPR classes throughout the year. These courses include adult and child CPR and basic first aid. Certification is valid for 2 years. Blended learning classes are NOT recommended if this is your first time taking First Aid and CPR training.
A complete schedule of our offerings for the 2022 program year is posted on our Safety page, but we wanted to highlight four trainings coming up in February.
- Wednesday, February 2, 5 p.m. | Buffalo Service Center
- Saturday, February 5, 9 a.m. | Buffalo Service Center
- Saturday, February 5, 11 a.m. | Rochester Service Center
- Wednesday, February 9, 5 p.m. | Rochester Service Center
Take advantage of these early sessions by calling EPIC Trainings Inc. at 585-615-4379 for questions and to register.
