Carolyn Thompson, is a finalist in this year’s Buffalo’s 43 North Competition. 43 North is a shark-tank like competition with start-up business owners eligible to win a $1 million dollar investment in their company. Carolyn Thompson and Aravenda are one of 15 finalists. (5 winners will be chosen)
Carolyn Thompson is a board member of two Girl Scout councils –
Girl Scouts of Nation’s Capital and Girl Scouts of Tropical Florida.
Ms. Thompson will share –
1. Her journey as an entrepreneur.
2. Help girls practice and perfect their (Fall Product/Cookie Sales) pitch.
3. Share strategies to elevate girls’ cookie business digitally.

| You will have an opportunity to impact the Girl Experience at GSWNY. A few of the exciting things you will do include advising council staff and designing programming. Girls will also be required to: Attend monthly board meetings, share your point of view on Girl Programs and relevant topics to girls, develop training, attend recruitment events in your area or school, plus appear in press photos, do public relations, and make television or radio appearances.
