Dear GSWNY Camp Families,

We want to provide you with an exciting update regarding our 2021 summer camp programs.  Our camp team has been working hard to assure that our camp programs will be able to operate in person and that hard work has paid off.  We are very happy to announce that we are planning to operate our summer day camp programs, Camp Piperwood and Camp Windy Meadows in person for summer 2021.  

The health and safety of our campers, camp staff, volunteers and families is our highest priority and we are confident in our ability to follow all public health safety guidelines for summer day camp operation. As we learned this past year, health officials may make changes to safety guidelines and we will keep you updated if we need to make any changes to our summer camp plans.

Please know that we have every intention of operating our resident camp programs, Camp Seven Hills and Camp Timbercrest in person as well. However, we are still waiting on specific safety and operational guidelines from the New York State Health Department.  We are hoping that we will be in receipt of them soon and will be able to provide you with updated information at that time. A decision on whether we will be offering alternative camp this summer has not been determined at this time.   

We know that operating our summer day camp programs in person is very exciting news and that girls are very excited to get back to camp to see their friends and favorite counselors again.   Our camp pre-registration portal on Camp Doc is still in place and will be open until April 30, 2021.  We strongly encourage you to please pre-register your girl to reserve her a spot at camp as our sessions are filling up very quickly and our camp sessions and program options are reduced this year by 50%.  This is part of our required COVID-19 safety guidelines which can be found here.If you find that you are not comfortable sending your girl to camp or we are unable to provide her with the program of her choice, please remember that the required $25 deposit is refundable.

On May 1, 2021, families that have pre-registered will receive an email from Camp Doc and GSWNY letting them know that the summer 2021 camp registration portal is open and it will be at that time that families can continue with completing their girl’s camp registration and camper profile.  

We are equally excited as you are about our day camp programs operating in person this summer and we want to assure you that we will have very specific COVID-19 safety protocols in place for campers and staff to follow.   To help prepare parents/guardians and girls for camp, we will be offering COVID-19 guidelines and summer camp information session nights.   Look for additional information regarding dates and times coming soon.
