New badges are here!
Now there’s 28 new ways for Girl Scouts of all ages to explore their world, either online or unplugged. With this year’s newest class of badges, Girl Scouts can take on more topics that matter to them, like getting outside and discovering math in nature (sponsored by Johnson & Johnson), taking their online cookie business to the next level, and learning how to be digital leaders (sponsored by Instagram). Get ready, because these new badges will spark her sense of wonder this year! SEE WHAT’S NEW >>>
Program on Demand: Buffalo Niagara Heritage Village
Buffalo Niagara Heritage Village offers Girl Scouts the opportunity to step back into the past into a dynamic learning environment that emphasizes hands-on learning experiences. We offer local history programs, Victorian Etiquette Teas, Victorian Girl Days and Farm-To-Table programs. We can also work with you to create a custom patch program. You can find more information under the Badge tab on our Programs on Demand page.
Our Programs on Demand (POD) provide additional Girl Scout experience opportunities for girls and troops throughout our nine counties. These businesses and organizations feature programs designed to appeal to a wide array of interests, including STEM, art, animals, and many more. Even better, you work directly with these collaborators to determine the specific program and date that fits your schedule. Visit gswny.org/pod to learn more!

Timbercrest Target Sports Town Hall
We want to hear from you! Throughout this year, our Council has collaborated with a Landscape Architect firm to develop a Master Plan for our four camp properties. During this process, we’ve engaged girls, volunteers, and various key stakeholders to get a clear idea of how our camps are currently being utilized as well as girls’ hopes for the future.
On Tuesday, August 24, at 6 p.m., we’re holding a virtual town hall meeting on a very specific subject. We’ve been developing a robust Target Sports program which includes archery, shooting, and hatchet throwing at Camp Timbercrest. After hearing requests from our girls, we built a new target range and developed a program. However, we know that GSWNY members and families may have questions and concerns and we would like to hear your feedback.
If you or girls in your family or troop frequently spend time at Timbercrest, and/or you have interest in this program, we highly encourage you to attend this meeting. To join us for this virtual meeting, please RSVP through this link: Timbercrest Sports Town Hall. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting. CLICK HERE TO REGISTER >>>
