Interview with Mrs. Ralph C. Wilson Jr, Life Trustee of the Ralph. C. Wilson Foundation
What is your passion?
Girls’ participation in sports has meant so much to me.
Why is it important for young girls to develop leadership skills?
Leadership Skills: good listener, team player, provide inspiration, passion, believe in and embrace your mission, a communicator, encourage participation and input. Many of these qualities are learned in team play. Whether a leader in the community or as a wife as well as a mother, leadership is important.
What 3 women do you admire most personally and professionally?
- My mother, Juanita Freemon McLean
- Sandra Day O’Connor
- Queen Elizabeth
Why do you believe this year’s Women’s History Month theme: “Providing Healing, Promoting Hope,” is important?
Without Hope, there is no healing. You must learn from history to provide the path of a hopeful tomorrow.
Throughout March, GSWNY will be highlighting more local women making HERstory in the community. Celebrate Women’s History Month with us by sharing the stories of these incredible women who help make the world a better place!
