Introducing Confidence Crates—a brand-new subscription box for new members from the Girl Scouts of Western New York (GSWNY)! Subscription boxes are one of the hottest trends right now, and they are everywhere! Confidence Crates were created especially for girls in grades K-2 to boost their creativity, problem-solving skills, and imagination and to help welcome them to Girl Scouts. Read to the end to find out how to sign your girl up to receive them!

Each month’s box features a different Girl Scout-inspired theme, and girls will receive ALL THREE, with one delivered each month.

May: Getting to Know Girl Scouts

In May, we’ll learn what it means to be a Girl Scout. We’ll make SWAPS (Special Whatchamacallits Affectionately Pinned Somewhere) and a super-fun Daisy-inspired bead project. We’ll also learn a camp song, which are songs we sing as groups at summer camp! And there’s more tucked away in this box, too! By the end of this month, you’ll be a Girl Scout expert!

June: For the Love of All Things STEAM

In June, we’ll explore the world of STEAM or Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math. Activate your inner creator by making a crayon-resist raindrop painting, a rain gauge, a raincloud in a jar, and more!

July: The Great Outdoors

Time to get outside and see the world! In July, you’ll learn about the importance of honey bees, planting seeds, and taking a beautification hike with your family! Girl Scouts love getting outside and making our world a better place!

At the end of each month, we will host a virtual meeting where she can connect with other girls across Western New York and share what they accomplished with their Confidence Crate!

How do you get Confidence Crates for your girl?

When girls in grades K-2* join Girl Scouts from April 1 to May 15, they can receive all 3 free curated boxes filled with fun, engaging, girl-centered activities along with all the supplies needed to complete the activity! When she registers, she also gets the special deal of an additional 6 months of Girl Scouts! For $35, her membership will cover now through September 2023! After registration, a staff member will follow up with you to confirm delivery.

*Crates are limited to K-2 girls living in Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Erie, Genesee, Livingston, Monroe, Niagara, Orleans, and Wyoming Counties in New York State who have never been a member of Girl Scouts before.
