A Message from CEO Alison Wilcox
Hello, GSWNY Members and Volunteers,
Like many of you, I am still trying to process all of the information and emotions following the Buffalo Mass Shooting. The racially motivated hate crime left 3 injured and claimed the lives of 10 innocent people.
This deplorable act has left us all with many questions. While we may not have all the answers, we do know there are some things we can do to help.
In the wake of this tragedy, stores like Tops, where the shootings took place, closed, leaving many in the neighborhood to travel miles away to the next grocery store.
The need is great, and the one thing we have heard from you all is the desire to help.
For now, there are ways we can all collectively help our community.
GSWNY learned there is an immediate need for diapers, wipes, and baby food. We have THREE ways listed below on how you can contribute today.
- Donate items directly to the list of community partners above
- Purchase items through Amazon
- Drop off items at any of our service centers. We will collect all items and provide them to the listed community partners for distribution. To see our locations and hours, please click here.
We will get through this together as a council and a community. We are Buffalo Strong!
Alison Wilcox
CEO, GSWNY
