Cookie Donor Buyout Program
Today is the official launch of our Donor Buyout Program to pair donors with troops who have remaining cookie inventory. All participants in the buyout program will assist in buying a troop’s remaining inventory and those cookies will be donated to hometown heroes serving in the community.

Mental Health and Youth: Signs, Symptoms and Interventions Virtual Training Sessions – Thursday 4/23
Two Sessions: 11am – 1pm and 6pm – 8pm
Karl Shallowhorn, MA, CASAC has partnered with GSWNY in order to offer two training sessions to our staff and volunteers. This training provides a basic overview of mental health, as well as information on disorders such as anxiety and depression. Participants will be able to identify the signs and symptoms as well as risk and protective factors associated with these conditions in relationship to youth 18 and under. Information will also be provided on resources available to assist those working with youth who may be encountering emerging mental health challenges.
Please note that each session has a maximum of 250 registrants, so space is limited. Please register only if you are able to attend the live session; the sessions will be recorded and circulated via Member Essentials to all members. GSWNY and Mr. Shallowhorn are also collaborating to provide a mental health session for girl members – please keep an eye out for more details to come!

Girl Scouts Doing Good Things
Our Girl Scouts are putting their ingenuity to work and doing great things across our WNY community. Check out a few examples below.
Troop 20241 was able to donate a case of cookies to the Dunkirk police dept earlier this month. The troop said thanks a lot for being front liners!
Cadette Troop 70115 held virtual cookie booths to help out the essential workers. They donated 165 boxes of cookies to Kenmore Mercy, Niagara Falls Fire Dept, Niagara Falls Police Dept, and Niagara Falls Memorial Hospital.
Troop 34224 donated the rest of their cookies to ECMC and they were well received by the hospital staff
We are #GirlScoutStrong! Looking forward to talking to you on Tuesday! In the meantime, don’t hesitate to reach out to us at Customer Care customercare@gswny.org or call 1-888-837-6410.
