Why do you believe this year’s Women’s History Month theme: “Providing Healing, Promoting Hope,” is important?
The economic impact of the COVID crisis is hitting women especially hard. Women make up the majority of frontline workers considered “essential” in the COVID crisis, including those in the healthcare profession as well as critical retail and service workers. During this post-pandemic phase, as women, it is important that we continue to promote healing and hope and be on the frontline of the relief and recovery efforts.
Throughout March, GSWNY will be highlighting more local women making HERstory in the community. Celebrate Women’s History Month with us by sharing the stories of these incredible women who help make the world a better place!
