Parents? You’re Doing Some Heroic Work Right Now
Lots of things are hard these days, and so many of us are feeling the stress. Beyond doing everything in your power to keep your loved ones healthy, there’s so much day-to-day stuff that can go sideways in a moment’s notice. Whether your kid has a full meltdown while you’re on an important conference call (naturally making you feel like parent of the year) or the grocery store is yet again out of the few things your picky eater actually likes—none of it is easy. And when you’re used to juggling many different priorities pretty well, it’s easy to be hard on yourself when things aren’t going right.
Happy Girl Scout Week!
The Girl Scouts of Western New York are celebrating Black History Month by highlighting Black women who were pioneers in fields that reflect our four pillars: Life Skills, Entrepreneurship, STEM, and Outdoors. Each week we’ll share a blog post with her story, as well as other information and activities to help you celebrate the month, too!
Celebrating the women who inspire us for Women’s History Month
March is all about celebrating the contributions of women to American history, and this year we want to hear from our Girl Scouts! Your girl is invited to share with us about a woman who inspires her through a creative project of her choosing. This is also a contest where the winner will be chosen at random from the submissions.
Watch your girl grow as a leader at summer camp
Summer camp is an important part of Girl Scouting. Beyond the outdoor skills they develop and adventures they have, Girl Scouts grow as leaders at camp.
Whether camp is in-person or alternative, we have opportunities for your girl to experience Girl Scout camp this year. Use the button below to learn more!
