Cookie Program Optional Extension Update
In an effort to continue our promise to remain transparent, we would like to share our latest update. Based on feedback from our members, and due to the production delays, shortages and short-shipped deliveries from our baker, ABC Bakers, we have decided to extend the cookie program. The cookie program will now last until April 24, 2022. This extension is optional. Girl Scout troops and members can continue to finish the cookie program as expected on April 4, or choose to extend their sale until April 24.
Although we cannot control the shortages and delays, we hope the additional time will help the girls and give the overall community a chance to get some of America’s treasured treats. We will continue to work with SUPMs and troops to determine variety availability and any upcoming scheduled deliveries and/or pickups.
When violence on the news shakes her world
In our always-on digital world, technology has made all of us, including the youngest among us, virtual witnesses to disturbing scenes and violence—whether from war, terrorist attacks, disasters, or political unrest.
With kids spending more time than ever on screens and with disturbing imagery dominating the news, sometimes they stumble upon these visuals before they—or you—know what happened. When violence breaks out and times are turbulent, extra screen time vigilance, particularly for younger kids, may be in order.
